We had our AGM and 20 years celebration this week. Over 70 people attended this event. We had guest speakers, performances and a video message from MP Hilary Benn, our patron. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the whole experience.
Our Monday group enjoyed ribbon exercises and boccia this week.
We changed the time and venue for the craft and homemade food market (please see poster below). There was a good turnout and people enjoyed free tea and toast!
The crochet group have been keeping busy recently. They made a post box topper to celebrate the Jubilee and have now updated this to mourn the Queen’s passing on the 8th September.
The allotment members were really proud to receive 3 certificates at the show for our wonky carrots, our root veg and the largest pumpkin.
A new booklet full of memories of Beeston was launched by Councillor Andrew Scopes on the 6th September 2022. BAFF worked together with the Cardinal Court coffee morning members who shared their unforgettable memories with us.
We have been working hard on our allotment and here are a few pictures of how things are coming along. We have butternut squash, pumpkin, leeks and ripe tomatoes and much more too!

47 BAFF members had a lovely day in York on Wednesday 17th August 2022. Everyone enjoyed their away day!
